DigiPortal Launches Enterprise
Anti-Spam Solution for Desktops & Mobile Wireless Devices at Demomobile
2003
Customized Anti-Spam Solution ChoiceMail Enterprise
Allows Users or IT Dept to Control Junk Mail on Individual PCs, in
an Enterprise Environment or on Mobile Wireless Devices for Users
on the Go
La Jolla, Ca– September
17, 2003 – Today at DEMOmobile, one of IDG’s leading
conferences, DigiPortal, Inc., a leading developer of information
management tools designed to provide users with powerful solutions
to combat information overload and inappropriate Internet content,
announced and demonstrated a new Enterprise anti-spam solution which
works to fight spam on mobile wireless devices as well as in a corporate
desktop environment. DigiPortal’s ChoiceMail Enterprise Edition
extends the capabilities of top-performing and highly accurate flagship
consumer anti-spam product ChoiceMail One, which thousands of customers
and media sources claim have cut their junk mail to zero.
ChoiceMail Enterprise Edition is a permission-based
system that offers users and IT administrators the choice of how to
set up their system. If a user or department wants to guarantee 100%
spam control, they can set up the “Identity Verification System”
(IVES) feature, which allows for the highest accuracy of eliminating
unwanted spam since the user decides who is on their approved “whitelist.”
ChoiceMail Enterprise Edition also has an option to turn off the IVES
feature (which operates like a query response) and set up selected
rules/filters or a combination of both. This highly flexible, robust
solution gives both the business and the individual user control of
their email and prevents spam from reaching the enterprise mail server,
which saves valuable IT resources.
DigiPortal takes spam protection a step further by
allowing mobile workers with wireless devices to manage important
emails while out of the office, preventing spam from wasting their
time and wireless resources. Mobile users enjoy the same benefits
of ChoiceMail whether they are in the office or on the road. ChoiceMail
Enterprise Edition easily and seamlessly integrates with existing
enterprise messaging infrastructure without requiring any changes
to the message server, client device software or the addition of special
function devices.
"More and more users are checking email on mobile
wireless devices. With spammers targeting handhelds, PDAs and cell
phones, we all have to deal with the cost of bandwidth and the time
it takes to read junk mail filtering onto our devices,” said
Chris Shipley, Executive Producer of DEMOmobile and Editor of DEMOletter.
"Given that we pay for incoming messages, there is an even higher
need for a solution that combats junk mail before it hits the mobile
device.”
Shipley continued, ”DigiPortal has found a way
to engineer a solution to ensure that only relevant messages are received
by whatever mobile device we are using. ChoiceMail offers enterprise-level
spam protection on any device, mobile or desktop.”
DigiPortal’s flagship product for the consumer
market ChoiceMail One, is also available for users interested in eliminating
spam on their desktops. The latest version, Version 2.0, was announced
last week and is available immediately at $39.95 with upgrades at
$14.95. Free trial versions are available at www.digiportal.com.
