Alert options

  • Use confirmation dialog boxes

  • If this option is checked, then when you attempt to quit ChoiceMail, you are prompted for confirmation.

  • Viewing recent senders (hours)

  • When you restrict the unknown senders view to recent senders (the Today button on the main window), you can control how many senders should be displayed based on the time of arrival. In the example here (8 hours), you would only see unknown senders who contacted you within the last 8 hours.

  • Alerts options

  • You can control whether ChoiceMail pops up an alert dialog when somebody registers for permission to contact you. You can also configure the popup dialog so that it closes automatically after a specified delay.

You also have the option to associate a wavefile with the alert.

Note that senders who have registered are also displayed in the "Senders waiting for your approval" list so even if you don't want to be explicitly notified, you will be able to process them later at your convenience.

The system tray icon also changes to indicate that there are registered senders waiting for your approval.
