When a message comes in, ChoiceMail needs to determine how to
dispose of it. By examining the message headers, your existing
whitelist and blacklist, and the permission rules, ChoiceMail
can determine whether the message should be passed through, blocked
pending registration (for cases when a registration request is
sent back) or actually deleted.
However, when ChoiceMail deletes a message, it isn’t gone
forever. Although that’s what you usually want, some users
have requested the ability to review messages that were deleted
by ChoiceMail to make that nothing important was deleted by mistake,
albeit an extremely unlikely event. To accommodate this, as of
version 1.5, ChoiceMail doesn’t immediately delete the message.
Instead it moves the message to the “junk box” where
it stays around a few more days before it is actually deleted
permanently. You can review the contents of the junkbox at your
convenience.

When you open the junk box, you can review all the messages that
are marked for deletion. The "Delete reason" column
is particularly useful as it tells you why ChoiceMail moved a
message into the junkbox.
